Work

What the work looks like in practice.

Every engagement is different. Here are a few examples of the kinds of challenges we work on and what changes when communication gets clearer.

01Executive CoachingVP of Engineering, Series B Tech Company

The challenge

A technically brilliant leader who had been promoted into a cross-functional role. She could command a room of engineers but struggled to communicate with the board, with sales, and with her own peers. Her ideas weren't landing — and she knew it.

The approach

We worked together over six months on presence, narrative structure, and the ability to translate complex technical thinking into language that moved non-technical stakeholders. We focused especially on high-stakes moments: board updates, cross-functional alignment meetings, and difficult conversations with peers.

The outcome

By the end of our engagement, she had led her first solo board presentation, navigated a major cross-functional conflict, and been promoted to CTO. More importantly, she said she finally felt like herself when she spoke.

Promoted to CTO within six months of starting our engagement.

02Messaging StrategyRegional Healthcare Network

The challenge

A healthcare organization going through a significant rebrand. They had a new name, a new logo, and a new strategic direction — but no shared language for talking about who they were or why it mattered. Different leaders were telling different stories. Patients and staff were confused.

The approach

We ran a series of discovery workshops with leadership, frontline staff, and patient advocates. From there, we built a messaging framework — a core narrative, key messages for different audiences, and a voice guide — that the whole organization could actually use.

The outcome

The new messaging framework was adopted across all communications within three months. Internal surveys showed a significant increase in staff confidence when talking about the organization's mission. External communications became noticeably more consistent.

Messaging framework adopted organization-wide within 90 days.

03Pitch DevelopmentHealth Tech Startup, Pre-Series A

The challenge

A founding team with a genuinely strong product and a compelling vision — but a pitch that buried the lead, over-explained the technology, and left investors unclear on the actual opportunity. They had been through several rounds of feedback and kept making the deck more complex.

The approach

We stripped the pitch back to first principles. What's the problem? Who has it? Why does your solution work when others haven't? Why now? Why you? We rebuilt the narrative arc from scratch, then worked on delivery — so the story felt natural and confident, not rehearsed.

The outcome

They closed their Series A round four months after we finished working together. The founding CEO said the clearest signal was when investors started finishing her sentences — they finally understood the story.

Closed Series A four months after completing the engagement.

04Team WorkshopCreative Agency, 40-person Team

The challenge

A fast-growing agency where communication had become a real friction point. Feedback wasn't landing well. Meetings were inefficient. Senior staff felt unheard; junior staff felt unclear on expectations. The leadership team knew something was off but couldn't name it.

The approach

We ran a full-day workshop for the whole team, followed by a half-day session for leadership. The focus was on feedback culture, clarity in communication, and building shared language around how the team wanted to work together. Practical, hands-on, and built around their real situations.

The outcome

Six months later, the agency reported a measurable improvement in internal survey scores around communication and psychological safety. Several team members said it was the most useful professional development they'd experienced.

Measurable improvement in team communication scores within six months.
